How Videxa collects, uses, stores and deletes your data, including YouTube data under the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use rules.

YouTube API services and Google

Videxa uses YouTube API Services. By using Videxa, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can remove Videxa's access to your Google account at any time on Google's security settings page.

  • Channel statistics are read with a server-side API key after you paste your channel link; no Google login is needed for this. As YouTube requires, these statistics are kept for 30 days at most.
  • The optional "Verify this is your channel" feature asks Google for a short-lived access token with the youtube.readonly scope. It is used for one call (channels.list, part=id, mine=true) to confirm your Google account owns the linked channel, then revoked right away. The token is never stored, logged or shared.
  • Videxa stores only the result: your channel ID, when it was verified and when the verification ends (after 20 days). Verifying a channel unlinks other Videxa accounts that had added it, and they are told by email.
  • Videxa does not use YouTube data for advertising, does not sell it, and does not access Gmail, Drive, Calendar or any other Google data.
  • Removing a channel or deleting your account deletes the YouTube data stored for it.

Google API limited use

Videxa's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data retention

  • Account data: until you delete your account.
  • YouTube statistics (subscriber and view counts, daily snapshots): 30 days at most, then deleted; everything is deleted sooner if you remove the channel or delete your account.
  • Google OAuth tokens: never stored, revoked right away.
  • Channel ownership record: 20 days, renewed only if you verify again.
  • Payment records: 7 years, as Indian tax law requires.
  • Database backups: 30 days; deleted data leaves the backups when they expire.
