Free YouTube title, description and tag generator

Describe your video in one line and get title options, a description, hashtags and tags in about 30 seconds. Free, no signup.

How it works

  • Write one or two sentences about your video: who it is for and what they get.
  • Pick the format: a long video, a Short or a live stream.
  • Copy the title, description, hashtags and tags you like.

These titles are generic until Videxa learns your voice. Create a free account to write in your own voice and language, based on your channel.

How to use the free generator

  1. Write one or two sentences about the video. "Misal at home" is thin. "Kolhapuri misal with a masala you can store, for beginners" works much better.
  2. Pick the language you speak in the video: English, Hinglish, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam or Gujarati.
  3. Press the button. In a few seconds you get title options, a description, hashtags and tags.
  4. Pick the title that fits best, then edit every part so it sounds like you.
  5. Copy each part into the matching box in YouTube Studio.

YouTube's own limits for each field

The title can be up to 100 characters and the description up to 5,000, and neither can contain invalid characters such as < or > (YouTube Help: Edit video settings, https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57404).

Tags share one budget of 500 characters in total. Commas between tags count, and a tag with a space in it counts as if it were wrapped in quote marks (YouTube Data API reference, https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs/videos).

Hashtags go in the title or description. Up to three of them can show next to your title, and if a video has more than 60 hashtags, YouTube ignores every hashtag on it (YouTube Help: Find videos using hashtags, https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6390658).

Where each piece goes in YouTube Studio

  1. Title: the first box on the Details page, when you upload or later under Content.
  2. Description: the large box below the title. Add your own links and chapters after the opening lines.
  3. Hashtags: at the end of the description is the usual place. Keep them few and about this video.
  4. Tags: click Show more at the bottom of the Details page and paste them into the Tags box.

Mistakes that waste a good video

  • A title that promises something the video does not show. YouTube's spam and deceptive practices policy names this kind of clickbait (YouTube Help: Spam, deceptive practices and scams policies, https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2801973).
  • Pasting a long list of keywords into the description. YouTube treats excessive tags in the description as spam.
  • Using the same description on every video.
  • Writing the metadata in English when the whole video is in Hindi or Marathi. Viewers search in the language they speak.

Why the free results sound generic

Without an account, the generator knows only your one line. It does not know your channel, your past videos or how you talk, so the writing is clean but plain. That is expected, not a bug.

A free Videxa account adds a 2 minute voice quiz and your channel context, so the writing starts to sound like you.

A quick checklist before you publish

  • The title says what the viewer gets, and the video delivers it.
  • The important words sit at the start of the title.
  • The first two lines of the description explain the video on their own.
  • Links and chapters are added and correct.
  • Two to five hashtags, all about this video.
  • Tags cover common misspellings and other scripts, and stay under 500 characters.

Questions

Is the generator really free?

Yes. You get a few free tries every hour with no account and no card. If you need more, a free account has its own daily allowance that resets at midnight India time.

Do I need to sign up or log in?

No. Type your one line, pick a language and press the button.

Which languages does it write in?

Ten: English, Hinglish, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam and Gujarati. Pick the language you actually speak in the video.

Does it post anything to my YouTube channel?

No. It only writes text for you to copy. It never asks for your YouTube password and never changes your videos.

Why do the results sound a bit plain?

Because the free tool knows only your one line. After the 2 minute voice quiz in a free account, Videxa writes closer to how you talk and uses your channel's context.

Will these titles and tags get me more views?

No tool can promise that. Clear metadata helps viewers understand what your video is, but views depend mostly on the video itself and whether people enjoy it.

How many hashtags should I use?

A few that describe the video, usually two to five. Up to three can show next to your title, and if you add more than 60, YouTube ignores all of them.

What happens when I run out of free tries?

Wait for the hour to reset, or create a free account to keep writing. Your one line is not lost if you sign up from the result.
